The lack of knowledge in conducting research is no doubt the biggest obstacle faced by students. 11 undergraduate and postgraduate students show lack of interest in research activities, as they face many problems to conduct research, including lack of research knowledge, unavailability of mentors and funds and time management.
Research assists in constructing students to be critical thinkers, enhances problem solving and decision making abilities. Therefore, it will furnish high quality health care services. Researchers are able to update their knowledge and skill according to the latest approaches in medicine and have the opportunities to explain things concerned with cognition acquisition and performance, and provide new interpretations of existing facts.
Research is an essential part for any educational system. It makes medical doctors richer in thoughts and updates medical students on the latest advances in medicine. Whether you are a current student or even a doctoral graduate, conducting research is a fundamental part of being a student with skills and credibility to impact social change. To give an instance, there are numerous medical issues and disagreements out there that haven’t found closure yet. But, by doing research, we can obtain a clearer answer and give clarity on some misunderstandings by providing evidence of what works best thus helping to improve the quality of life.
Through SGP Lv. 1, SCORE CIMSA FK YARSI held a webinar with the theme ONEDERLAND: Metodologi Penelitian dan Pembuatan Artikel Ilmiah on January 2nd, 2022. This event aims to improve students’ knowledge about research methods and how to conduct scientific research. Aside from those, this event also helps to instruct students on how to choose the suitable and appropriate topic. It is hoped that this event can be a great assistance in the future for all members of SCORE CIMSA FK YARSI and other participants in carrying out proper research.
